Ricky Bharti is an India-born technology entrepreneur and product builder working across Web3 identity, blockchain ecosystems, consumer products and financial technology.
Entrepreneurship and products
Ricky is a co-founder of DotNames, Puffy Games and Brightside.
At DotNames, he helped build a multichain Web3 identity and naming platform that recorded more than one million domain mints, generated more than US$500,000 in revenue, grew a combined community of more than 600,000 and deployed across more than five blockchains.
He later co-founded Puffy Games, an on-chain strategy game built for Telegram on TON. The product onboarded more than 100,000 users across over 160 countries, reached 4,500 peak daily active users and recorded an average session length of two minutes.
Ricky currently works on Brightside, a zero-fee, non-custodial and mobile-first perpetuals trading product. Brightside has processed more than US$5 million in trading volume, served more than 500 active users across over 20 countries and launched its iOS app in three weeks.
Ecosystem experience
From 2022 to 2024, Ricky served as Head of Ecosystem Growth at Shardeum. His work included helping scale the ecosystem from eight to 157 projects, developing a pipeline of more than 800 projects, expanding a university program to more than 1,000 developers, supporting partnerships with LayerZero, BlueMove and SushiSwap, and creating merchandise used by more than 15,000 people globally.
Earlier in his career, Ricky worked on community initiatives at CoinDCX and WazirX NFT.
Background
India-born and working internationally, with professional activity across India and the United Kingdom. He is part of the BITS Pilani Computer Science 2023 cohort.
His work combines entrepreneurship, product strategy, growth, design, partnerships and ecosystem development. He is particularly interested in taking technology products from zero to one and building products that can reach global users from an India-origin operating base.
